hallelujah!!! My hard drive WORKS!! When I came home from work I saw the package. I opened it and slapped it into my usb hard drive enclosure and plugged it into my laptop. I turned it on and it spun up but was making loud clicking noises. I turned it off/on 2 more times and the clicking noises went away but the drive the drive was messed up and couldn't be recognized by Windows. At least it was spinning up though, which MY drive could not, which meant there was still a chance. There was a ghost story I read about on the internet where this guy took the circuit board from one hard drive and put it on his identical non-working hard drive and it worked. So that is what I tried. It is a pretty simple thing really. I plugged my drive (with the new circuit board) into the usb hard drive encloser and turned it on. It spun up which is half of the battle. Then I saw the little windows box come up scanning the drive and I saw all of these folder names from back in the day... YES!!! The drive showed up and I got EVERYTHING back! Really the only important thing I wanted was the code for my web component. There is a ton of extra crap on there though. I have to get ready for work now. I need to rack up a ton of hours this week in order to buy Christmas presents and pay for the Vegas trip. Adios!

(It's actually Tuesday now, I fell asleep last night and wasn't able to write anything) My Thanksgiving was good. Wednesday Judy's mom came over and I drove her to Port St. Lucie. The next day we had Thanksgiving dinner with all of her family. The food was really good and I stuffed myself! Friday Judy and I came back to Miami because she had a hair appointment. Afterwards we went over to mom's house for another Thanksgiving dinner! I ate a lot again. Didn't really have room for dessert by this point. I had a really good time with Judy the few days we were together. I miss her a lot!!!!! I will get to see her in two weeks though once school ends. I am excited about winter break because she will be here. Our 1 year anniversary is about 3 weeks away! It's just before Christmas. So the break should be pretty good The hard drive I won on ebay looks like it is being delivered today! Hopefully I can get all of my old data back. I have a ton of stuff to do so I better get on it. I'll leave you with a few links to check out. If anyone has been to Las Vegas let me know what you thought was fun to do there. Bye.

Please please please... I want to take the Internet Application Programming, it is the first semester this is being offered. The thing is I don't want to give up one of my super easy electives to take it. So... what I am proposing to my advisor is to let me substitute Info Retrieval for Database Management (which I passed last Fall). Then I can switch my Computer OS class to Monday/Wednesday and take Internet Application Programming on Tuesday/Thursday. That would be a perfect schedule if you ask me!! The teacher for Info Retrieval is HORRIBLE. Everyone has complained about him since I could remember and he is the only one who teaches that class. I have been waiting all this time for someone else to teach it, but NO. Hopefully they will let me substitute that class because Database Management is the exact same material. Anyways I just got excited about that since I heard about it last night. I went to the doctor today and he said my ACL feels strong! He said to run for 4 weeks and after that I could start doing stop-and-go excercises (the shuttle run/cutting back and forth) and twisting my knee. At 5-6 months I can start playing sports again. This is really good news! December 17, January 17, February 17... would be 6 months. Well I have a lot of work to do catch ya'll later. update: My advisor sent me an email saying she will submit a waiver for that class... WOOOHOOO!!! Gotta change up my schedule now cya! My friend says I can take a CLEP test for spanish 1+2 for 10 credits so I might just do that and only take the 1 final class for my major (that would be sweet), but we'll see I don't know how well I would do in spanish. Yeepers! Okay this is my new schedule!!!

It was a sad day in Miami today. Coming off the UM loss... the Heat and Dolphins make the weekend worse by losing. Well maybe Thanksgiving weekend will be better. I have a lot of stuff due this week, gotta get on top of all that. It's 1:49am right now and I still need to do my part in this big project due later tonight. Oh btw I am sporting a new look - a shaved head! It's not so bad actually, and I plan on growing it back out ASAP, but it was just a spur of the moment thing and was pretty fun. Anyways this is a rough week even though it's only 3 days. Tuesday I am going to the doctor so he can tell me how my knee is doing. Also today or Tuesday I am meeting with a client to finish a deal. Anyways I'm going to get started on my stuff. Peace out homies! lol

I was checking out ESPN.com to see what time the UM game was and I ran across this little article . One of my friends had something about the 7th floor crew on her away message but I had no idea what it was until I read that article. I found the song on putfile and downloaded it on limewire. It's pretty dirty but I thought it was funny. College was meant for stupid stuff like that! Anyways I have been looking around for a dynamic content editor for the web for a couple of weeks now. I found a pretty good one which I will be implementing into a few of my websites this weekend and see how it works out. This site will definately be using it first! Right now I am typing HTML into my posts... gets annoying if I just want to write a little something quickly. In other news, I wish I could have the name and address for who ever bid on the hard drive I need! It got bumped up to $11 cause this idiot placed a bid. Lets hope it doesn't get any higher. In about 10 minutes I will be heading out to go fishing again. I have been using this website to check what time the sunrise/sunset is. That way I can be fishing at a good time. I'll probably post some other junk later today. I'm going to get ready... cya. Okay so I've implemented the dynamic content editor. It is freaking awesome!! Only took a few minutes to implement too which is the best part. I can tell there is a few bugs but the component is in continuous development so I'm sure things will get fixed. I am going to be using this thing on all of my sites! I love it!

Happy 3 month anniversary to my new ACL. We are getting along quite well these days. This morning I took it for a little fishing trip. I woke up at 6:30 and fixed up my fresh water rod since I had never used it before. I used Google Earth to find a close lake and decided to go to one at FIU. I am pretty sure you aren't allowed to fish there but I was back in a secluded corner. My second cast I caught a 10" bass. After that I didn't catch anything. I had a lot of bites but they were only getting the tail of the worm so I am going to have to invest in some smaller worms.
I am participating in a program called Predictor@Home which uses the BOINC client which is a grid computing system. Anyways I created a new page on my website which pulls my statistics. I am helping out the FIU-SCS team which started supporting this project about a year ago.
I'll be heading into work after a few hours of sleep. I stayed up and watched movies all of last night. Oh BTW, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is out! I can't wait to see it!!!

http://www.hackaday.com/entry/1234000840067578/ ...looks like I will be on ebay when I get home and check what kind of dead drives I have... On another note, they rescheduled what room my Women & Religion class meets in - so not only am I forced to listen to Male bashing but the new room makes me want to fall asleep! I should get back to listening to why I am horrible for being a man. Hahaha!
----------
OMFG I think I found it on ebay! I don't remember which dead drive I have all of my old code on, but I think it's this 60GB Maxtor drive. I looked up the part number and found one on ebay for like 10 cents.... of course I will win it!! I was looking at these drives brand new and they are like $150 - what is that all about? This drive is 5 years old it should be sold unused for $20. Anyways I am going to try it out and hopefully get all of my data back!!

I got this quote from Phillip. You are the man!
Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he could be, and he will become what he should be. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Ya so tomorrow is my birthday... I'm not really looking forward to it though. I have other things on my mind. My mom is taking me out to dinner which will be nice because I haven't seen her in a while. It will do me good to spend time with my family. Thursday my dad is coming and I might be going on a little adventure with him - not sure yet though, we'll see. Anyways I am going to get some reading done now I have a lot of quizzes due in a couple of hours.

The Man In The Glass
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world make you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn't your father or mother or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass.
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum
And think you're a wonderful guy,
But the man in the class says your only a bum
If you can't look him straight in the eye.
He's the fellow to please - never mind all the rest,
For he's with you clear to the end.
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of
years And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you've cheated the man in the glass.
Dale Wimbrow
A True Gentleman
A True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies.
Who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity.
Who is himself humbled when necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth cringe before power, boast of his possessions or achievements.
Who speaks with frankness but with sincerity and sympathy always.
Whose deed follows his work; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others rather than his own.
And who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue is safe.

i love the miami heat! and now that i have cable, i can watch every game of the season! Sun Sports has all of the games. I went to the gym today. I rode the bike for 25 minutes. my legs felt like steal afterwards. and then i did some calf raises and hamstring machine. it felt pretty good. did you know the heat have gary payton and antwon walker? payton doesn't play much but walker is the third wheel. and they usually play haslem and another white guy that just dribbles and distributes. oh well im going to do pushups and situps while i watch the game. might go out tonight not sure yet. later.

Been working on my personal finance management class a lot recently. It's a lot of work. Especially next week with 4 chapters due because of the hurricane! This morning I came up with a running chart. This isn't a final one but is about what I am going to start running (once I am able to run again - in 2 more weeks) When I figure I am good to run this much I will change the date and adjust the miles based on my school/holiday schedule. I still don't have cable or internet at home so I am doing stuff from school. My new phone should be here tomorrow, I stayed home all day waiting for it to get here but it never came! :( Anyways I am gonna go home, I am pretty tired. Cya.
Btw my birthday is a week from today! :-)
