I got 2 of my final grades so far, and they were as I mentioned earlier, won't know the others until grades come out in panthersoft. Anyways I am in Orlando now helping Judy pack up and moving her to Miami for the summer! I should be back tomorrow. Tonight we are going to Midieval Times. Never been to this kind of place before but it sounds like fun. Anyways I'll write more this weekend probably I'm out cya!

I would like to add to my list of things to do for the summer... to write my own
minesweeper game. That's it for now. Update... just took my hardware final,
got a 70 on it... sucks. I looked at my grades for the class and I will get a C.
So two A's and a C so far. Tomorrow if I get every question right on my
programming test I should get an A in the class, but I will probably end up with
a B, if I don't completely bomb it that is.
Before the test I had an interview for the library website job. I am pretty
sure I will get it. I will be moving the current website to a
DotNetNuke portal. Seems
pretty cool. I will be reading up and testing it this weekend. I already have a
test site up at
dnn.rushfrisby.com. Maybe I will move some of my sites into this system as
well. Anyways I am going home to sleep cause I am really tired right now.

Yesterday I had my java 2 exam which went well. So far I am done with 2 classes and I think I have A's in both of them. Today I applied for a 6 week job to redo FIU's library website. The pay is $10K. Other than that I am pretty much depressed and bored. I have been watching movies, eating, and sleeping a lot. I think I am going to get a washer & dryer in my apartment because all of the "community" ones are broken and people usually like to take out my clothes before they are dry. Yep that's it just bored here at work as usual. I almost have the photolink program done. Last night and tonight is Cram Jam - that is when they give out free breakfast at midnight to students who are "cramming" aka starving dorm students. I went over there last night and will take a break tonight to go eat. Thats it bye.

I have started rewriting the photolink application. In doing so I have come
across this exif reader class which I decided to test before moving on with development. I have created this program which will display all exif information for a given file. I guess I'm just posting it here in case anyone would have a use for it. If you would like a test image to use you may download this one. Enjoy!
Btw does anyone know if BellSouth offers naked dsl? (dsl service without phone
service)

Don't steal Berkley professors laptops ...

Oh I also found an EXIF reader class so when I rewrite the photolink app it will take a lot less time to develop than the original. Now I just have to find some code on manipulating images cause I lost the code I wrote for that too :(

I recently visited an SQL developer site because I was having problems with one of my stored procedures for tradersys. Anyways I am getting their newsletter in which they have links to hot forum topics, one of which was about shrinking SQL log files. I was hoping I would come
across this someday because the log for photolink was almost 3GB. And the log for the database behind this site was just over 1GB. Anyways I thought I would post this just in case someone else was reading my site and needed it (probably not likely though) Run this in query analyzer:
Use [photolink]
Go
alter database [photolink] set recovery simple
go
dbcc shrinkfile (photolink_log, 100)
go
checkpoint
go
dbcc shrinkfile (photolink_log, 100)
alter database [photolink] set recovery full
go
Replace "photolink" with YOUR database name, and "100" with how big you want to shrink the log file in MBs.
Happy developing.
On a totally different note, I have come up with a list of things I would like
to do/learn this summer. Hopefully I will get most of them done!
- camping in the keys
- cruise
- go to the beach
- eat at the big cheese
- go to water park
- play miniature golf
- go roller skating & ice skating
- visit Fairchild tropical gardens
- take professional photos with Judy
- go to an amusement park
- go to Miccosukee or Hard Rock to play the slots
- swap shop
- samurai lunch
- Good dishes/recipes to cook
- Nerd stuff:
- Shell scripting
- Pearl scripting
- Java database programming
- Rewrite Photolink app
- Write Contax Pro in ASP.NET
- request system
- SQL Server 2005

Lately I have been really hungry. Yesterday I ate about 4 or 5 meals. My
fridge actually seems full this week so that is nice. Yesterday when I was at
Publix I got a bunch of chicken and some sweet teriyaki sauce. I also had some
left over A1 marinade so I made 2 batches which are marinating in my fridge
right now. I tried cooking some of the chicken earlier on the George Forman but
I don't like how it comes out so I think I am going to try a different method.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
This week at school I am pretty much just wrapping up my classes. I have a
windows app due Thursday that I have mostly complete and also a java app due
Monday which I haven't started on. Next week I have 3 finals, shouldn't be too
hard:
| 4/25 Monday |
3:30-6:15p |
Intermediate Java |
| 4/27 Wednesday |
6:25-9:05p |
Microcomputer Organization |
| 4/28 Thursday |
3:30-6:15p |
Windows Programming for IT |
As for work it is going pretty good except everyone seems to be in a bad
mood. (Maybe because it's the end of the semester?) There is one guy I really
don't like. Today he said something that freaked me out. I hope he drops dead
one day, that would be nice :-)
As for summer classes I have not registered yet but have an idea of what I
want to take. What I am really excited about is that Judy is going to be living
with me! She is taking a class at Miami Dade. Also in May we are going on a
cruise! It's a three day cruise to the Bahamas! The only other cruise I have
been on wasn't that great because there was a hurricane going to all the places
we were set to visit, so we ended up spending a week at sea pretty much. This
one should be a lot better though!
Well I am done. Later
gator!

The party this weekend was pretty good. Jo taught me how to dance, although I still argue that I was a pretty good dancer beforehand! Ended up
Swensens house for the the after party. Slept over there until the next morning
when Ness picked me up. I got to go home for a little while but all I did was sleep. Last night I put up a new webshots gallery that has a bunch of random pictures that I scanned. I got a big Java assignment done last night as well. I didn't get much sleep but I am up early and at work right now. Today I have a presentation for my Hardware class which isn't until 8:00 so
I'll try to squeeze in a nap before then. Next Monday I have another huge programming assignment due that I need to start working on. I wish the semester was over already so that Judy was here! I miss you baby!
Gotta go. Bye!

Last week Thursday I went up to Orlando to see Judy. I took the bus there,
which wasn't so bad this time, except that someone was an hour late picking me
up! Saturday was her formal, the "Crown Ball." Saturday morning I got new pants
for my suit because I didn't like how my old ones fit. While I was at the store
I also got a new shirt because the one I brought had a permanent black spot on
the color. I also got a new PINK tie! So we get on the bus and the place is like
an hour away. Actually if anyone knows that hotel at Disney that the monorail
goes through - that was the place. The place was okay. We had dinner and took
lots of
pictures and had a good time. The next day we went to PSL to see her family
because her mom had the day off and was there too. We went to this place with a
fountain for her nephew to play in. Afterwards we went to dinner at a seafood
place. We shared a pound of Alaskan king crabs! It was delicious! I really like
her family a lot they have always made me feel welcome and treat me like part of
the family. Later that night I drove home with Judy's mom. I'd say it was a
pretty good weekend :-)
This week has sucked. I'm stressed out with a lot of school work and other
problems. I have mostly felt like being alone. Actually the entire semester I
have kept more to myself than I have in a long time. Hopefully tomorrow nights
party will be fun and relax me a bit. Anyways I have a headache and it's 4am.
I'm going to sleep! Night!
