This week I was at work/FIU and I really had to go. The guys I used to work with in Computer Science we all had a nice quiet place on the 4th floor because no one really works up there. Well now that I am in the library it is a little more difficult to find a quiet place to go since there are more people here. I guess I could walk over to ECS but most times I don't really feel like it. So I was talking with a friend of mine of the best places to go on campus. He mentioned a few places but I saught out my own spot. When I was finished I got back on AIM and we both were like.... man we should have a website of all the good spots to go on campus. Well things escaladed a little and so we are now coming up with a site that will host good places to go everywhere. This should be interresting. I'll post the website address when the site is complete because we are still putting it together. Oh ya... I found out that at Yahoo! you can register domains for $3 and they will host your DNS. I thought that was pretty cool.

Other than that tad bit of news I am at FIU at the moment trying to burn off all of this crap I have on my laptop. I want to format it tonight and set it up with 4 partitions. 1 WindowsXP, 1 Linux, 1 for files, and 1 as swap space. I think I will install Ubuntu or Gentoo as my linux distro but I'm not sure yet. What I really need to find is a good way to connect to WebDav projects in linux so I can work on my websites from it. Anyways I will spend most of tomorrow finishing up some programs for my VB class and also finishing writing a paper on .NET. Tonight I may play some Counter-Strike in the computer lab! :-) I love the new computers we got hehe.  I had to get rid of that windows vista machine I had because we put it in the lab. Oh well it was only a beta version. Had some pretty cool stuff though I am looking forward to the final version coming out later this year.

Not much more news other than that. I have a phone interview Tuesday and am still looking for a job for when I graduate. A few things have come up but they haven't seemed that great. Anyways I am going to get stuff done hope everyone has a great week!

Yesterday morning I woke up early and went for a run. During my run I did several exercises uncluding lunges. My legs felt fine the rest of the day, I guess because they were still pretty loose. Today however... they are S O R E! Hehe. That's good though because it means I got a pretty good work out. Last night I saw the Pre All Star game events. I can't believe the smallest player (5' 9" - he is smaller than me!) won the slam dunk contest! Man that kid can jump. I think he only won though because the other guy was a rookie and had won the MVP in the rookies vs sophomores game the day before. Tonight is the real deal though I can't wait to see Wade play. I have also been watching a lot of fishing on TV. They have had serveral bass tournaments. Makes me want to go fishing. I am going to have to go back to Sports Authority ASAP to pick up some new lures. Anyways I just spent a few hours in the computer lab playing video games. I am going to head back home to get something to eat and relax the rest of the day. Hope everyone has a good week.

I got an 85 on my other test. I fell asleep early last night and consequently am now up at 4:30am! Yesterday I moved just about all of my other sites to my new server because my old server went down. It sucked because I had to update the dns servers for rushfrisby.com and it takes a while for those changes to propogate to all of the top level domain servers. I had sent out 20 resume's yesterday morning so if any of those people had gone to my site they probably got a blank page... that sucks! It is working now though so hopefully people didn't get around to looking at my resume until today or Monday. I have a phone interview with one place on the 28th but I will tell you the details later. I think I am going to watch a movie and get some breakfast right now. Have a great day :-)

I got one of the new machines at work running Vista. This thing is sweeeet! I am going to take a lot of screen shots over the next few days and post them. I'll post one up here now. These new machines at work are pretty sweet. They are 3ghz pentium D's with 2gb of ram and 150gb hard drives. The graphics cards in them are monsters. We also got new monitors, 2 30" lcd's and a few 24" lcd's. I got one of the 24" ones. These things are sweet! I think my resolution is 1920x1200. Anyways I am going to get back to playing with vista.

I moved my website to a new server yesterday. It was the cheapest thing I could find so the site is probably slower (for most people) than the old one. The server is on the west coast of Canada! But hey...it was cheap! I am also using a newer version of SQL Server 2005 (database server). Some of my stored procedures are not working the same as they were in SQL Server 2000. I guess I am just going to have to change them all - the fix is minor. Last night I got my math test grade back - a B. Thursday I should get another test grade back. I am going to get ready for work and head over there after I eat some breakfast. Have a nice day everyone :-)

Went fishing again this morning. Caught 2. Lost my lure on a rock so I'm going to have to make another trip to sports authority. Maybe I'll get a few in case this happens again. I need to find some more lakes close by, there isn't many. I've been up for a while. All they talk about on the news is Michelle Kwan dropping out, I don't think anyone cares though. News casters beat this stuff till there is nothing left sometimes. At 3:00 I am looking forward to the Heat-Pistons game. Then later on today who knows. I am going to cook breakfast and do some laundry. Cya.

I don't really have anything to do this weekend so I am expecting to be pretty bored. Along with that, my sleep schedule is all screwed up. Sometimes I can only sleep for a few hours and other times I sleep a good 8 or so. Earlier this week I took a trip to sports authority. I had never taken the bus to Dolphin mall - it wasn't that bad. I got a new fishing lure since the one I was using to catch all these fish got stuck in a tree. (I was fishing too close to it and when I cast out it got caught.) This morning I went fishing at caught 3 fish! The new lure works better than my old one. I could have had at least 2 more but the fish got away before i could bring them up.

I also bought a knee support while I was at sports authority. They had some pretty fancy/expensive ones but I settled on a cheaper one. It basically keeps my knee warm and protected from being hit. It also supports my patella (knee cap). My knee is feeling pretty good but sometimes it gets sore. My leg feels like it is much strong recently. I think my running is working off. I also have a mini trampoline I am using to help work out. (Thanks dad!)

• Just a while ago I got rid of the Apple theme I had been using on my computer. I switched over to this windows media center theme. It is similar to the windows xp default blue theme except it is a lot cleaner. It has a glassy feel to it and not that balloon feel. It is called the Royalle Theme. Check out my screenshot...
  


• Last night I found this site with a ton of wallpapers. They vary from scenery, animals, tech themed. Check that site out there are some very cool wallpapers on it.


• Sketch Swap I recommend if you are bored. You just go to the site, create a drawing, submit it, and in return you are sent someone elses sketch. Pretty neat.


• The last links is to a guide/tools that will help tweak your laptop performance. I downloaded all the programs it talks about just haven't gone through them all.
  

I saw some screenshots for KDE4 which looked great but it turns out they were bogus. That sucks because I may have installed linux on my laptop to check it out. Anyways after that I was interested in seeing some screenshots of Vista. Check out the link to see them. Looks pretty cool. I am going to test out the lastest build tomorrow and put up my own screenshots.

I will be going to work soon but also today I plan on fixing up my Tab control. Then I will be studying for a .net 2.0 test. Then I will be going to my math class which hopefully I will get my test from tuesday back (and it will be an A). Then I will be actually taking my .net 2.0 test and coming home to watch the end of the heat game. Sounds like a  busy day I better get ready.
