On Friday, Judy and I went to Titusville for the space shuttle launch. There were thousands of people there so the parking was crazy. There were cars lined up and down US1 for miles. We got a good spot to put our blanket down. There wasn't a countdown but it launched exactly when it was supposed to. It was pitch dark out and then all of a sudden you saw this intense light and it took off. It lit up the entire sky and coast line. It was really cool to watch. You could faintly hear the rumble about 30 seconds after it was in the air. Traffic on the way home was horrible even after waiting 2 hours for it to clear out.
Saturday Judy and I went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. It was neat to see the lights and everything they had setup for the show. I keep telling Judy that I should get into set design. Creating a light show for a concert would be really cool. Our friend went to a NIN concert that has an AWESOME light show. The only thing we didn't like was the story telling/narrator parts. The section of the arena we were sitting in was also very cold and the air was blowing directly on us. It made the show unenjoyable for us. Overall it was still cool. We decided that now I need lasers and fire for my show!
