MyRunning.info website launch

A few months ago I developed this website to keep track of my running information. Well not just me but anyone who wants to keep track of their running history... so I came up with this site.

http://myrunning.info

I just had the site laying around and needed to clean up a few things but I took care of those real quick tonight. I'm still adding new features to it but it's ready for some users to get in there and start using. I'm excited about it.

Hooked on Evony

A few weeks ago I read this twitter update from Jeff Atwood about Evony. He was complaining about how their ads had lots of boobies but the game had nothing to do with boobie ads. Well I checked out the game and it is really addicting. Its a flash game you just play in your browser and it's completely free. Now I've got my buddy Todd hooked on it too. I am at the point where things are taking a really long time to build so I'm starting to attack more. It's one of those games you can log in and do a few things and then log out and let it go for a while and then come back later. I like it a lot.

Right now it is raining. I need to run 4 miles later today so I hope it stops. At least it is not lightning much. A few weeks ago I went running and a storm came up really quick and started lightning all around me. It was very scary. Tomorrow I am running 7 miles. My weight is down to 205-210 lbs. By the time that the Houston Marathon comes around I am hoping to be under 200, in the 190-195 area.

Yesterday Judy cooked this awesome pulled pork. The thing is... I was home and let it sit in the slow cooker for too long so it got dried out. I hope she gives it another shot so I can redeem myself and so we can have some yummy food! I got rice crispe treat ingredients at publix last weekend so I might try and make those either tonight or this weekend.

Tomorrow Beau is moving up to UCF! It will be cool to hang out with my bro more.

He's Back!

Been a while since I've written in my blog! I was actually developing a new blogging system but it's not ready yet and I felt like writing something. Maybe I'll just update this one with some of the new features I want.

Right now I am listing to the new single "Run This Town" by Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West. It's pretty good. Jay-Z's new album "The Blueprint 3" which features this song is coming out Sept. 11. Odd date don't you think? I am sure it will be full of great songs as usual. Most of the songs are produced by Kayne but I am looking forward to the one Timberland song. I just read that on the premier of the new Jay Leno show, Sept. 14,  they are going to perform the song. They'll probably also do it (I'm hoping) at the MTV music awards. Last year Rihanna and T.I. did "Live Your Life" and "Whatever You Like" which was awesome.

Work is hectic now because it is the beginning of the school year and everyone is trying to get their shit together. Last week I worked about 60 hours because *someone* forgot to mention that is when our deadline was. Everyone was figuring we would have another 2-3 weeks. Whatever! I am really looking forward to Labor Day weekend. Judy and I are renting a beach house with some friends on Siesta Key. It will be relaxing and a lot of fun. We are also going to my cousin Bryan and his fiance Michelle's wedding. This week we got a slew of invitations for different wedding events during the course of the weekend, including the rehersal dinner - how nice of them to send invitations for that!

Last week I got full HD videos of my christmas lights from John at Blackburst Entertainment. I met him and Joe (another guys that works at Blackburst) through a friend, Todd, who I work with. They are really cool guys. I re-encoded the videos to 720p flash video and then again to an even smaller sized flash video. I put them online a day or two ago. I've got a lot of the lights planned for this year already. I'm not changing much so it wasn't hard. I might find a better way to hang the roof lights. That will probably be the hardest thing to do other than re-assembling the mega tree. Friday I'll be going up to Gainesville to visit a client and then hang out with Bret and Kevin. That should be a fun time.

Last month I registered for the Houston Marathon again. I figure I'll run the full marathon instead of opting out for the half-marathon. I made a running schedule for the next 6 months. I was going to soccer practice off and on but I'm going to stop until I finish the marathon. I got some custom made Nike Free's a couple of months ago that look like this...

I liked the first pair I got but that was a few years ago and ever since they have not sold them in stores. That;s why I had to order them online. It didn't cost any more to get the colors customized and my name sewn into the tongue so that was just a nice bonus. The only thing with them is that I got a 0.5 size too small. It doesn't really matter because they are very stretchy and it doesn't hurt at all but next time I'll have to remember what size I am!

As far as movies go I have seen a bunch...

  • Fast and the Furious - thought it was good (3 stars)
  • GI Joe - haven't seen yet
  • Transformers 2 - thought it was good. The last 30 minutes is basically Megan Fox's boobies bouncing all over the place which made it worth sitting there for 2.5 hours. (3.5 stars)
  • Harry Potter - seen it twice, and it is AWESOME! The ending is a little weird but I guess that's what you get for trying to squeeze such a huge book into a 2.5 hour movie. 7th book is 2 movies, yay! (5 stars)
  • Star Trek - thought it was good. (4 stars)
  • Wolverine - saw the leaked version first and thought it was so-so. (3 stars)
  • Night At The Museum 2 - Will see soon!
  • Terminator - haven't seen it yet and don't really care to. I've never been big in the terminator movies.
  • Angels and Demons (but only if I watch the Davinci Code first because I still haven't seen it) - haven't seen either of these yet.
  • Ice Age 3 - Will see soon!
  • Watchmen - thought it was stupid. (1 star)
  • I Love You Man - thought it was so-so. (2.5 stars)

I am looking forward to Beau moving up in another week or two. I can't wait to have my bro here to hang out with!
