Bye bye Netflix

Last week I canceled my Netflix subscription. For in the last six months I had only sent/received a handful of times so I wasn't getting much use out of it. It was fun while it lasted. I know people who have had both Netflix and the Blockbuster movie rental that competes with Netflix and they say that Netflix is better. They have a great service but it just wasn't for me.

A minute after I canceled my Netflix subscription I signed up for GameFly! GameFly works exactly the same way as Netflix but instead of movies you rent video games. I just fill my queue with games I want to play and when I return a movie they send me a new one in the mail. They have games for every system and now that I have a 360, Wii, and DS it is worth it. I already got two games but I've only played one so far.

Super Mario Galaxy is the best Mario game ever. This went straight to my list of favorite video games of all time! I have played this one the most so far. Call of Duty 4 is good too. The graphics are better than any game I've seen on the 360. I got both of these for Christmas and I love them! The other games I got were Bioshock, Warioware, and Super Paper Mario. Bioshock and Warioware I have not played yet but expect them to be good. Super Paper Mario was a disappointment. I think that will be an immediate trade back.

The first two GameFly rentals I have are NFS: ProStreet and Rayman's Raging Rabbits. I have only played NFS ProStreet and it is not as good as the last NFS game, NFS: Carbon,  which is one of my favorite all time games.

A cool thing about Wii is that you can download and play older Nintendo games. Once you hook up to the internet you can go online and buy "Wii Points" which is the currency you buy things in. You can then buy/download original Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Atari, and TurboGraphix16 games. So far I've downloaded Super Mario Bros. 1-3 and Punch Out for the original NES, and Super Mario World for the Super NES. I also want to get Donkey Kong Country and a few other classic games.
