Yesterday my 2nd light controller was scheduled to arrive. I stayed home because I wasn't feeling well. I waited all day for the package. I took the dog out a few times and didn't see it. Around 3:45 I checked the UPS site and they said it was delivered at 12:45. I hadn't see the package, didn't hear a knock, Logan didn't bark at the door, and I didn't even hear a truck go up or down the street all day. I looked outside for the package. I looked everywhere around the house. I looked at the house across the street who has a street number (7756) similar to ours (7765). The neighbors hadn't got my package. I checked every single house in our block and no one had a package. Where could it have gone? Did they deliver it in a stealth truck without knocking and someone happened to notice and steal my package? Could the driver have said he delivered my package and made off with it? Maybe. I called UPS and they said the next step was to contact Light-O-Rama. When I told Judy she was upset, as was I (I was actually really really really mad), because this light controller is expensive and I am taking next week off to relax and put up my lights. If I didn't have the 2nd controller then I would have wasted extra money on lights and a lot of time planning out 2 controller light shows when I am only going to have 1, which means A) my light show would look stupid because the timings would be for different channels OR B) I would have to redo all of the sequences I've made. And this controller Judy had ordered as a 3 year anniversary present - so did this mean she would have bought this thing for nothing? It was a bad situation and I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. Judy, being her usual awesome girlfriend self, called UPS again to see if there was anything we could do, she is really good at finding her way through those kind of situations so they get resolved quicker. In the end I think she was able to start an investigation on it. Light-O-Rama was closed by this time so she called first thing this morning. Next thing I know she calls and lets me know Light-O-Rama is going to send us another one... by Wednesday! With signature confirmation this time, of course. So Light-O-Rama rocks and Judy saved the day. She just forwarded me the new tracking number and the package is being sent out today. I love you!
